gboquotes – Get the quotes out of GBO

This package provides a nice, convenient frontend to the enormous quote database of GBO. It has the quick way for all those, that don’t want to fire up Firefox to have some fun ;)

gboquotes is easy_installable, so you won’t need to download it manually. See Installation for details. But for the sake of completness here is the link: gboquotes

Mercurial repository is hosted at gboquotes.

Installation

You need Python (at least version 2.6) installed and working. gboquotes itself is easy_installable:

easy_install gboquotes

This will install the following dependencies on your system, if there are not already present:

• argparse – Parsing of command line
• Pygments – Colored output
• pyparsing – Parsing of quote lines
• python-dateutil – Parsing of dates
• lxml – HTML parsing (version 2 or newer is required!)
• configobj – Parsing of configuration files
